The Standard Gauge Unification Event

In 2076, the Sutter National Railway will adopt the international standard gauge of 1435mm. Standard passenger cars will have a length of 25.5 meters, and standard train sets will consist of 16 cars. The GSM-R+ATP system will be implemented nationwide for scheduling.

This will result in the internal rail transit systems of the Northern Three Provinces and the Central Two Provinces being incompatible with the Sutter National Railway (the Northern Three Provinces use a gauge of 1115mm, and the Central Two Provinces use a gauge of 1305mm).

In the same year, the Sutter Northern Railway Group was officially established, acquiring the Sigelki Province Railway, Holly Railway Group, and Westho Province Railway Bureau Group. Subsequently, the Sutter National Railway announced the full replacement of physical tickets with electronic tickets. Previously, slow trains traveling at 60km/h in Sutter used physical tickets.

Actions Taken by All Parties

The highest prosecutor's office of the Bay Area Province of Sutter sues the Bay Area Provincial Government in the Sutter Supreme Court. The Bay Area Prosecutor's Office cited Article 10 of the Western Union Provincial Constitution, which states that the Provincial Union should legally restrict those who interfere with the balance of national economy and people's livelihoods regarding private wealth and private enterprises. The highest prosecutor's office believes that the Bay Area Province's dumping of trains across the country disrupts national economy and balanced development, leading to the Bay Area being overly dominant while other regions are weakened. After the case was transferred to the Supreme Court, the Bay Area Provincial Intermediate Court ruled that the Bay Area Provincial Government's dumping of trains across the country was illegal and fined them 220,000 Central Yuan.

The Bay Area Provincial Intermediate Prosecutor's Office invoked Article 26 of the Sigelki Legal Compendium, stating that the Social Democratic Party is the ruling party of the Sigelki Province, while other parties are participating parties. They sued the Westho Province and the Sigelki Province, demanding that the Social Democratic Party be ousted from power in these two provinces.

The Westho Province Court, following the Silver vs. Lei case, determined that the Sutter National Railway, as a non-Westho Province entity, has no right to interfere with the free market of Westho Province. Westho Province used all available means to defend its free market and imposed sanctions on the Sutter National Railway.

The Katatom Province believes that the accusations against the Social Democratic Party by the Bay Area Province are unfounded. Subsequently, the Kosibi Province launched military exercises under the codename "81".
